Al-Khafji Port is located on the eastern coast of Al-Khafji governorate, in the Eastern Province. It is a petroleum port for crude oil export.
The first oil cargo was shipped in 1960 -1380 AH, in the presence of King Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia at the time, and Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah of Kuwait.

Capability to accommodate three tankers
The port is remarkable for its capability to accommodate three tankers at the same time, two loading tankers and one unloading tanker. It additionally has the capacity to accommodate six tankers in its waiting area and 30 small parts on its berths.
